My husband and two sons were dedicated fishermen. They were dedicated because of the kind of commitment and perseverance they gave to this sport. They would get up in the wee hours of the morning to reach their fishing spot by the time the fish started biting. These three guys who usually were bundles of energy exhibited "the patience of Job" as they out waited the fish to catch their limit. If one kind of bait didn't work, they tried another. If one fishing spot failed to yield a strike, they would go to another place. And they caught fish.

The same techniques worked well in fishing for men. They were eager to tell people about Christ. I've seen them follow the Spirit's lead to go when the time was right. They were patient and tactful. If one person failed to respond, they knew there were others who needed the gospel message. And they have had the joy of seeing people come to know Christ Jesus would say to each of us, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
